This age group enjoys social and cooperative play more than ever! They have more organized logical thoughts and they now have the ability to perform multiple tasks, and they are capable of concrete problem solving. They are also playing sports similar to adults and their outdoor activities are maturing as well.

Complex construction play is a must for this age group. Board games and brain teasers are a great addition because, at this age, children are becoming competent in strategy. They also have the skills to advance in logical thinking development, planning and thought provoking deductions. Early science kits, more complicated craft kits, and magic sets are great at this age because they can easily follow the directions.
